Tipping and Twitter / Four Winds

I don't get when people receive horrible service and still insist on tipping?? What's going on with people tipping 20% for absolute shitty service? When did this start to happen? WTF!

My take: Service people, regardless of industry, who are lazy, incompetent, rude or assholish in one way or another, DON'T TIP THEM ANYTHING! Why should people be rewarded for bad service? If on the other hand, you receive moderate to excellent service, then yes, tip away!

It's not even an issue of being cheap. People need to stop tipping for the sake of tipping.

I really don't get twitter.
Even though what I do hourly is pretty compelling and interesting, do you actually want to know that I'm:

4:56 - Studying for econ exam
5:10 - Eating tortilla chips dipped in salsa
6:01 - Browsing the net and bored
7:03 - Washroom

Someone explain to me why this is such a big thing.

Hating People Who Wear Ed Hardy / Close Call

To put this in proper perspective, Ed Hardy is so hated by white people that it cannot be worn ironically. This is no small feat. As it stands, the only other entries in this category are Nazi Uniforms, Ku Klux Klan Robes, and self-tanner.

Since you cannot in good conscience have an Ed Hardy themed party, the best way to make use of this white hatred is to give your stories a little more appeal to white people.

For example, if you take the reasonable but not compelling story: “I got cut off in traffic this morning and when I honked the guy gave me the finger,” and replace it with: “I got cut off in traffic this morning by this guy in an Ed Hardy shirt. I honked and then he gave me the finger!” The story will become sixty percent more interesting to white people because it allows them to make a witty response like: “I guess that douche bag had to get to a UFC party or a nightclub event he was promoting.”

Follow this up with a laugh, a high five, and a compliment about the acceptable shirt the white person is wearing and you will find yourself with a new friend.

I'm not white, but I completely fall into the whole hating-people-who-wear-ed-hardy camp. All I can say is, if you wear Ed Hardy, you're a sucker for an ugly brand and you don't know how to dress.

Golden Touch

Not gonna lie...I started middle parting my hair because the Olsens managed to make it look so good.

Oh and is anybody as sick of these ugly ass scarves as I am?

random thoughts / Little Shadow

- Wow, so after posting personal pictures my subscribers went up by quite a bit. Hrm, will have to keep that in mind next down my numbers go on the decline.

- Every time my subscriber numbers go down, even if it's only by one or two, it's like a stab in the heart. A really really painful stab. Okay, so I'm being dramatic, but it is a downer. It screams "your writing sucks" or "you're just really boring." Oh well, it is a personal blog I guess. Even I get bored reading someone else's shit sometimes.

- To go along with the first, don't we all love those people who have time to upload albums and albums of themselves on facebook striking the same "cutesy" expression and pose in each one of their 50, 60, 70+ batches of pictures, except with the occasional outfit change here and there? And then when they've accumulated enough individual snapshots of themselves, they put them all together to make collages (yes, plural). Time restraints are obviously non existent for them, not to mention any narcissism deficiencies.

- I hate pretentious people. I hate self righteous people. I feel pretentious using the word pretentious.

- The Hills season premiere was on tonight!! Drama, drama, drama, I looove it. Man, I never realized how much I missed LC and her comments about people being "shady" here and there, left and right. I'm always so amazed at how much she's changed, physically. She's come a long long way since her Laguna Beach days.

- No matter how many times I reread my blog post before publishing it and no matter how many times I edit it, reading back on the same one a couple weeks later, I always always find a grammar or spelling error somewhere in it! I'll read back on this very entry a couple months from now, and I guarantee I'll find something wrong with it. Why is that?

- Craving cupcakes. These ones in particular:

- I've never been a fan of full back tattoos, but this is amazing. (Click to enlarge)

Dye Your Hair With Coffee

http://www.ehow.com/how_2343597_dye-hair-coffee.html

I want to try this!

I'm always a skeptic when it comes to actual dye with harsh chemicals and this might be a good alternative since it's completely natural. Basically it's supposed to slightly lighten hair by bringing out brown and red tones and add shine and dimension.

I've been crazy about keeping my hair healthy lately (letting my hair air dry almost everyday and not using any heat whatsoever, deep conditioning etc) so this seems to go with my regimen perfectly.

The only thing that scares me is that I don't have an idea of how the color will turn out to look like. At least with actual drugstore dye there's some kind of color swatch to go by.

Reminds me of when people would dye their hair with Kool-Aid. It was pretty neat.
And I assume this only works with light colored hair, I don't see how it would show up if you have black hair or really dark hair.

(And your hair would smell like coffee afterward...mmmmm yum)

Speaking of coffee, this place looks divine.
